The Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO) is primarily reserved for professionals in cinema, audiovisual media, and animated images, as well as the media and festival representatives. The 30th edition of FESPACO will be held from March 20 to 27, 2027, in Ouagadougou. To participate, professionals must be accredited. Accreditations are granted according to professional activity.
The purpose of these regulations is to define the conditions for registration for the different types of badges (film professions, media, and representatives of film festivals).
Access to the professional and screening areas of the 30th edition of FESPACO is granted upon presentation of badges.
Registration for the different types of badges implies acceptance of these regulations.
The Professional badge is exclusively reserved for professionals in cinema, audiovisual media, and animated images, the media, and festival representatives. Use of the badge is strictly personal.
Not all national professionals are automatically accredited. A quota of badges is allocated to each cinema and audiovisual association. According to the quota granted, the president of each association must give registration clearance to its members, allowing them to register online.
The Professional badge provides access to cinemas and to the FESPACO PRO/MICA area (International Market for African Cinema and Audiovisual Media).
The Media badge is granted to media professionals and provides access only to press screenings. To access cinemas, the Media badge must be accompanied by a “Pass” badge.
Not all national media professionals are automatically accredited. A quota of media badges is allocated to each media outlet according to its publication frequency, importance, cinema specialization, and festival coverage.
